  1. UCSF Caring for the Caregiver, UCSF Health has developed the Caring for the Caregiver program to ensure that providers and staff are emotionally supported through the experience of patient care. Approximately 50% of clinicians are involved in an adverse event each year, which leads to decreased morale and lack of productivity—the “second victim” phenomenon.
  2. UCSF Case Management and Social Work, our social workers act as patient advocates by serving as counselors, helping to find resources and solving problems. When it's medically necessary, social workers also help arrange alternate types of care when patients leave the hospital, which may include rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, hospice, or board and care homes.

  4. UCSF Health Office of Medical Affairs and Governance (OMAG): Credentialing services for the UCSF Health System primarily comprising of UCSF faculty from the School of Medicine and the School of Dentistry and affiliated community partner groups in the clinically integrated physician network.

  7. UCSF HIMS (Medical Records), if your UCSF department is served a subpoena for medical records please click on the link to view the information on where to send it.   21. UCSF Regulatory Affairs, oversees UCSF Medical Center's compliance with The Joint Commission accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, which includes assessment, measurement, and reporting of ongoing compliance.
  22. UCSF Risk Advisory and Insurance Services (RAIS) (Campus Risk Management), strives to protect the assets and interests of UCSF through assessment of loss exposures, focused prevention efforts, and efficient management of insurance and self-insurance policies.
  23. UCOP Risk Services, the Office of Risk Services is responsible for developing and implementing UC Enterprise Risk Management systemwide.
  24. Spiritual Care at UCSF, Chaplains representing many faiths are available around the clock to be a caring presence, offer spiritual and emotional support, and listen with openness and understanding. Patients, families and staff are encouraged to call a chaplain when experiencing fear, anger, loneliness, helplessness, anxiety, grief or loss or when they just need someone to talk to. Chaplains also are available for times of celebration, prayer and rituals.

  26. UCSF Telehealth (Health Informatics), the Telehealth Resource Center at UCSF supports programs that allow the expertise of UCSF physicians to be shared with patients and physicians located far beyond San Francisco.
